Youth Group Spaghetti Dinner Update: (from Laura LaHaye) I want to start out by saying a huge congratulations to our kids! They really took charge this year and the event was a giant success!
Thank you, thank you, thank you also to the parents who showed up, provided food, and/or even just provided your kids to help with this endeavor. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Saturday evening we served approximately 65-70 meals (counting the help) and received over $1300 in donations! Job well done!
Thanks again for all the help that was provided and to all of those who attended, dined, and supported our kids! We hope to get another one of these meals organized soon! Stay tuned!

Missions Committee Updates: The Missions Committee is pleased to pass along comments from our visitors from Adult and Teen Challenge New Hampshire. In keeping with feedback we've received from all of our ministry visitors, the team that visited us this past Sunday remarked on our congregation's warm welcome, generosity, interest in their ministry service, and making them feel part of our family immediately. The Committee thanks you all as well for your kindness to our visitors and for supporting them so faithfully.
In other news, the Missions Committee recently reached out to Morgan Tam of Showers of Grace regarding the Los Angeles fires. Showers of Grace is located in Palos Verdes Estates. The Committee is delighted to report that there has been no damage and all are safe.

Men's Breakfast: Our first (at least in a long time) men's breakfast last Saturday was tasty, well-attended, and overall very successful! Based on discussion at the breakfast, Pastor Chris has set dates on the calendar for a monthly men’s breakfast all the way through June of this year, reserving Trumbull Hall for the last Saturday of each month. That means the next breakfast will be on February 22. Thanks to all who attended and, of course, special thanks to those who cooked!
Going to church can be life changing – in more ways than one! Join Kevin LaHaye after the morning service on January 26 for a hands-only CPR training and an AED operational overview, held right here at the church. This practical and potentially life-saving class is open to everyone interested, no prior experience needed. Come learn how to make a difference in emergencies and equip yourself to help others!
Etna Baptist Annual Report: All groups that create annual reports should have them to Carol by January 30. Early submissions are very much appreciated! Please send them to Carol Edwards.
“Souper Sunday” is February 9, a day when we bring cans of soup to church to distribute to those in need. The collection – ahem – kicks off on Sunday, February 2, and continues through Super Bowl Sunday on February 9. Look for the collection table sporting a soup can of unusual size in Trumbull Hall!
