Week of December 10, 2023 - Second week of Advent

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
    are only a small village among all the people of Judah.
Yet a ruler of Israel,
    whose origins are in the distant past,
    will come from you on my behalf.
The people of Israel will be abandoned to their enemies
    until the woman in labor gives birth.
Then at last his fellow countrymen

Stewardship:  Last Sunday, Pastor Chris described stewardship in the context of our church family as our expression of intention, participation, and faith.  We are encouraging our church family, both regular attenders and members, to give prayerful consideration to our role(s) in the church's ministry and growth.  For more information on stewardship please click here. THIS Sunday, December 10 at 1:30 pm to the First Baptist Church, Etna, NH:  Joyful Bells, a two-octave English handbell ensemble, will be performing a concert of Christmas carols and seasonal music.  Free-will donations support camping programs at Camp Sentinel (celebrating its 75^th anniversary this year).

COMING SOON: Our annual church family "Christmas Potluck Luncheon” will be held on December 17^th following the morning worship service.  Please bring a casserole, salad, bread, or dessert to share (if you are able). Come and enjoy the fellowship and wonderful food. All are welcome!  Please join us!

Christmas Services: Christmas Eve (December 24) falls on Sunday this year, so we will offer two services on that day: our regular worship service at 10 am and the Christmas Eve service at 7 pm.  Both services will be held at the Etna church.  We would be overjoyed to see you at one or both services as we celebrate the coming of Light into the world in the form of God's gift  to us, in the flesh, of His son Jesus, our Lord, Savior, and friend.
